I've been involved in various art pursuits all my life, especially oil painting, but when I discovered how much more quickly I could convey an emotion with photography, I made a serious switch and have found the change engrossing. I enjoy looking carefully at what is often overlooked yet seen all around us, the buds as well as the flowers, the tiny bees as well as the birds. I hope my photographs arouse in the viewer the same sense of beauty and wonder that I see. And part of that wonder is its very fleeting nature.
